A Fashion Collection Against Social Inequality
With her newest haute couture collection “Human”, Berlin-based designer Yasemin Akgül turns the runway into a stage of resistance. Premiered during Milan Fashion Week S/S26, the collection blends Baroque splendor with a raw, unflinching social commentary on inequality. From minimalist white silhouettes to lavishly adorned velvet gowns, Akgül charts a journey from marginalization to magnificence — a symbolic critique of the stark contrasts in our world. Every thread speaks. Every curve of fabric becomes a question. Is beauty complicit — or defiant?
