In LA MESTIZA, designer and creative director Valentina Rodrigues crafts more than garments — she weaves a cultural testimony. Raised between Venezuela and Madrid, her new collection is a bold, sculptural tribute to identity in motion. Through over 800 hand-sewn circles, the collection becomes a tactile archive of what it means to belong in multiple worlds.
Shot in striking textures and powerful poses by Paulo Herrera, with model Nairoby Hernández Rojas embodying both power and vulnerability, the editorial unfolds as a living artwork — one that celebrates the messy beauty of migration, memory, and multiplicity. “Craft,” says Valentina, “is more than technique — it’s a language of connection.”
