Interview with Robin Ann Moore
VIONNE: “Pop Art” feels electric—what was the initial spark or moment of inspiration that led to this colorful, canvas-like concept?
Robin: I am all about art! I love a good painting or sculpture that let's you take it in and create what the artist was thinking.
VIONNE: Red, black, yellow—this palette grabs the eye immediately. What role do bold colors play in your photographic storytelling?
Robin: I am myself bold, and colors that draw my eye become captivating to anyone that has to look twice because it wasn't maybe the concept that drew them in but the color palette.
VIONNE: The synergy between Reneseme and the set is powerful. What’s your creative relationship like with her, and how does she elevate your concepts?
Robin: Reneseme is a powerhouse when it comes to her bold features. She is a risk taker and amazing creative and open to all concepts. She is fun on set and takes direction like a pro. I could not ask for more.
VIONNE: You mentioned being the eldest working female fashion photographer—how does your long-standing experience influence shoots like this one?
Robin: My age and my work coexist with each other rather well. I am old school still on so many levels but my creative brain stays driven from creative art, to the most high fashion concept you can images.
VIONNE: What advice would you give younger photographers or creatives about staying inspired and pushing boundaries in their work?
Robin: Stay true to your vision. Do not let anyone stop you from doing or becoming whom you were always meant to be.
VIONNE: What do you hope viewers feel or take away from this photo story when they flip the page and land in the world of “Pop Art”?
Robin: That they feel inspired to take up creative space.
