Shot by Russian photographer Julia Novikova, the series reimagines haute couture through the lens of countryside simplicity — where radish-adorned skirts, candy-colored makeup, and rubber garden gloves meet the elegance of contemporary fashion. Inspired by the latest JACQUEMUS collection and brought to life by a passionate creative team, this story celebrates the art of style without pretense.
In our exclusive conversation, Novikova shares the behind-the-scenes journey of crafting this vibrant visual tale — from road-tripping 200 kilometers to chase the perfect location to building a narrative that’s as lighthearted as it is editorially sharp. The result? A celebration of collaboration, color, and confidence in full bloom.

VIONNE: This series radiates color, personality, and a sense of playful elegance. What was the initial spark or moodboard behind the concept, and how did your countryside location shape the shoot’s atmosphere?
Julia: We were inspired by the latest JACQUEMUS collection, and a country house with landscaping and a small garden was the perfect setting to realize the idea.
VIONNE: You worked with a strong creative team for this production. How did the collaboration with Roman Fateev, Irina Barsukova, and Polina Blokhina influence the final outcome?
Julia: First of all, I want to say that I am very proud of my team! Secondly, they are very brave guys who were not afraid of difficulties, supported the idea and were ready to go 200 km away for the shoot! Roman Fateev is a style genius who matched the image and jewelry so precisely! The skirt with radishes, rings on the work gloves, yellow sabots with pink socks - all this is very unusual and fits into the main idea of the shoot!
Ira Barsukova is a beauty fairy who worked out the makeup in great detail and added freshness with pink eyeliner!
Polina Blokhina is a gift girl! How cool she immersed herself in the shoot, how great she worked out the posing and gave out incredible professionalism!

VIONNE: There’s a beautiful contrast between the natural setting and the bold fashion choices. What were your visual goals in capturing Polli’s character “in the garden,” and how did you balance fashion and narrative?
Julia: We wanted to convey - lightness! That surrounded by the simplest details, props and good weather - you can make a stylish fashion project! Thanks to the taste and vision of the team - we managed to realize bold ideas combined with current fashion trends!
VIONNE: Having photographed for over five years, how does this editorial reflect your evolution as an artist — and what made this particular shoot memorable for you?
Julia: This is a whole new level for me. Collaborating with a very strong team, believing in myself, shooting in difficult conditions (it was bad weather and cold). All this inspires me to create new, stylish, conceptual things! Showing new facets in the fashion industry, combining different details, textures. Choosing challenging poses and unusual models! Your magazine gives you the opportunity to show the world a really beautiful shoot!
