Lost in the City
In Concrete Silence, Eden Zara Crossley constructs a quiet, introspective journey through the restless rhythm of London. The city, often defined by its constant motion, is reimagined here as something distant—almost hollow. Through Alaina Kim’s solitary presence, the narrative unfolds across muted streets and overlooked corners, where movement exists without direction and noise fades into an unspoken stillness.
Inspired by the concept of “paper towns,” this editorial explores the paradox of urban life: places that are mapped, structured, and filled with people, yet feel emotionally unanchored. Within this landscape of concrete and repetition, the figure drifts—not searching for a destination, but for meaning itself. Concrete Silence captures this in-between state, where identity, space, and purpose remain undefined, suspended somewhere between presence and absence.
