The Art of Ageless Confidence

At 80 years old, Roza Fomina embodies a rare kind of elegance—one that is not defined by youth, but by wisdom, self-respect, and an unwavering sense of self. Photographed by Duhina Anastasia, this striking cover story captures a woman whose presence is both commanding and effortlessly refined. Draped in sculptural silhouettes, bold crimson tailoring, and immaculate monochromatic ensembles, Roza challenges every outdated notion of what beauty should look like at a certain age. Her journey from cardiologist to entrepreneur, model, and international cover personality proves that reinvention has no expiration date. Over the past two years alone, she has appeared on 18 magazine covers across Europe and North America, becoming a powerful symbol of confidence and visibility for women everywhere.

For Roza, style is far more than fashion—it is a reflection of mindset, character, and the way we choose to engage with the world. She believes that true beauty comes from intelligence, self-confidence, kindness, and the courage to remain curious throughout life. Whether learning English, traveling the globe, inspiring women through her personal brand, or planning future adventures, she approaches every chapter with remarkable energy and optimism. Through this editorial, Roza reminds us that age does not diminish relevance, ambition, or femininity. Instead, it can amplify them. Her story is a celebration of a life fully lived—and of the extraordinary power that comes from embracing every stage of it with grace.

Interview with Roza Fomina

VIONNE: Roza, at 80 years old, you radiate confidence, elegance, and vitality. What does aging beautifully mean to you?

Roza: For me, aging gracefully isn't about looking younger. It's about taking care of your health and appearance. A mature woman should look sophisticated—that's my deep conviction. And as she ages, every woman should be able to emphasize the wisdom and dignity that come with age.

VIONNE: Your journey has taken you from cardiologist to entrepreneur, model, and inspiration to thousands. Looking back, what has been the most unexpected chapter of your life?

Roza: For me, perhaps the most unexpected thing was being featured on the cover of the Canadian high fashion and beauty magazine Vigour two years ago. In two years, I've had 18 covers in Europe, America, and Canada, and I was very lucky to have the wonderful, professional photographer Anastasia Dukhina. Working with her is so exciting! This experience showed me that when youth and youth fade, Life exists! And what an interesting one it is! I also realized that I'm a grandmother only because I have grandchildren. Grandmother is not a gender! After 70, you can still be a Woman. And you can be beautiful, well-groomed, and stylish at any age.

VIONNE: Many women fear getting older because society often associates beauty with youth. How do you challenge that narrative?

Roza: I realized long ago that you don't have to be young to look great. Beauty is the courage to be yourself at any age! It's not about height and weight, but about intelligence, taste, and self-confidence, combined with good grooming. The most important thing is to be resourceful and energetic. A youthful mind and sexual attractiveness are crucial to how I feel in this world. Beauty and longevity aren't God's gifts; they're a side effect of respecting life, your body, and your health.

VIONNE: Your personal style is bold, refined, and unmistakably luxurious. How would you describe your relationship with fashion today?

Roza: For as long as I can remember, I've always been interested in fashion. I admire stylish people, and I believe it's important for anyone to keep up with the times. A person's style isn't just an image; it's a state of mind when, through clothing, silhouette, colors, and details, we convey to the world how we feel about ourselves. Sometimes, changing your appearance is enough to completely change your inner self. I watched Project Runway for many years. The amazing films Sex and the City and The Devil Wears Prada, where the brilliant designer Patricia Field created all those outfits, are amazing. I rewatch them and enjoy them. This May, I was in Milan at the George Armani Museum for an exhibition of his haute couture dresses.

VIONNE: You have built a strong personal brand that inspires women across generations. What message do you hope people take away when they see you?

Roza: In my line of work, I promote a healthy lifestyle and beauty as a way of life. I recently held a Zoom meeting for women about this. And here's what people wrote to me after the Zoom meeting: "Excellent broadcast, Roza! As always, you're at your best, both in appearance and in your compassion for humanity. An example for many people who want to look the same at your age." "A gorgeous woman. I look at you and realize that age is just a convention. A woman who stood still. A woman is a flower." "What an active person at 80. You might think it's a miracle, but it's the result of human labor."

VIONNE: Was there a moment when you realized that age would never define your ambitions or limit your dreams?

Roza: Age doesn't affect all the fantastic opportunities life gives us; age doesn't affect our relevance or our value in this world. I've been convinced of this my entire life.

VIONNE: What advice would you give to women who feel it's "too late" to start something new, whether in business, fashion, or life?

Roza: No matter your age, I want to tell you, dear women, love yourself! It's a sin not to look as beautiful as you could. Every woman has a one-in-a-million chance of being born beautiful (Sophia Loren, Monica Bellucci, etc.), but each of us has a 100,000 chance of being attractive! Take care of yourself! Don't worry about age! You are as old as you feel. Ideals of female beauty have varied throughout history, but the key is your attitude towards yourself! Your empathy for people and animals, your kindness, your good character—all this will give you charm, appeal, and charisma!

VIONNE: At 80, what are you still dreaming about, exploring, or working toward?

Roza: I've always strived for the best in my life, no matter what I do. I studied German in school and college, and today I'm learning English because I travel a lot and need it! I adore dogs. I have a beloved Biewer Yorkie; she's a great joy and a joy to our lives. Our children have been living separately for a long time, but the dog is like a child to us. I've been to 47 countries, I've prayed many times at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, and I've been to New York, the city of my energy, five times. I visit Italy twice a year, where my daughter and her family live. I love to travel, and while I'm in a good place, I dream of visiting South Africa, for example. I have many plans. I live an interesting life, and I have many friends all over the world.
