Roza Fomina: A Summer of Style, Strength, and Self-Belief
At 79, Roza Fomina is not just rewriting the rules of aging — she's walking through life with unstoppable energy, camera-ready confidence, and a fashion sense that’s anything but conventional. From sharp tailoring to floral femininity, her summer street style editorial is a reflection of the many layers that make her who she is: mother, entrepreneur, cardiologist, model, and lifelong student of joy. In this exclusive interview with VIONNE, Roza opens up about personal transformation, her wellness rituals, and the mindset that keeps her inspired — and inspiring — on and off the runway.

VIONNE: Roza, your editorial shoot blends strength and softness — from sharp tailoring to romantic florals. How do these two contrasting styles reflect the different sides of your personality?
Roza: I really like a non-ordinary, non-classic style of clothing. I like something creative, extraordinary, and sometimes audacious, like no one else's! And in summer, I like prints and something delicate and feminine. I think that style and clothes say a lot about a person. But I like to be different too.
VIONNE: You've been the face of fashion magazines in Paris, Milan, Toronto, and now VIONNE — how does stepping in front of the camera feel for you? Roza: My first cover was in March 2024 in the Canadian high fashion and beauty magazine VIGOUR. To be honest, I did not expect at all that I would be published at 78. And when I recently posted my photos and videos on Instagram (@rosifomina), I received rave reviews especially from women of all ages, people don't believe that I'm that old. Today I realized for sure that old age in its former form no longer exists. Sometimes I feel like I'm 60, sometimes I feel like I'm 50, or even 25! I try not to remember that 2025 is my anniversary year. We will turn 80 before the New Year 2026! I have a cheerful, positive personality and I am not at all afraid of this significant figure!
I feel light and at ease in front of the camera, as if I've been doing this all my life. Of course, it played a role here that I have been photographing my daughter (model and dancer) since childhood, firstly and secondly, the photographer actually plays a very important role. I am very lucky to have Anastasia, she is an amazingly professional, sensitive and professional fashion photographer!
VIONNE: At 79, you're not only traveling the world but also redefining visibility and beauty for older women. What kind of responses have you received from audiences?
Roza: My current activity is so in tune with my favorite profession. I am a cardiologist with extensive clinical experience in emergency cardiology and intensive care, but only today I teach people how not to get into intensive care! How and how much to drink bioavailable water, how to follow the correct system of improving, preserving and strengthening one's health - the most important human resource. I have a very noble mission. Everyone asks me, how do I manage to look like this at 79? The answer is very simple- tirelessly and lazily engage in your health, routine facial and body care, always conform to the spirit of the times, follow the fashion! The most important thing is to be involved in your favorite business, to be useful and in demand by people, you need to use your brain, interact with different people! And the most important thing for me is not to lose my sexual attractiveness at any age!
VIONNE: Health and well-being are at the center of your professional mission. How has your work with natural food fortifiers shaped the way you age, live, and lead?
Roza: For more than 20 years, I have been living according to the concept of health on high-quality food fortifiers from a world-renowned company. I am the product of my product. This gives me the opportunity to save the resource. My appearance, my energy, my positive attitude- all this attracts people and allows me to scale my business. And that inspires me.
VIONNE: Your children are both accomplished artists — one in visual art, the other a former dance world champion. What role does creativity play in your family, and did their paths influence your move into fashion modeling?
Roza: I have always been proud of my beautiful and successful children - both my son, 51 years old, and my daughter, 39 years old. And I passionately wanted my children not only to love me as a mother, but also to be proud of my achievements. They both told me that I was the best and incredible mom.
VIONNE: Many people slow down with age, but you seem to be accelerating — new countries, covers, and collaborations. What mindset or daily rituals help you stay so vibrant and full of energy?
Roza: Every day I tirelessly thank the Almighty for my long, healthy, interesting and happy life. For my faithful spouse (he is an architect, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia), we have been together and inseparable for 57 years. Thank you for my beautiful children. God sent me energy. I value her very much, I try to avoid toxic people. My close circle includes family and friends, as well as friends and business partners.
VIONNE: What message do you hope this editorial sends — not just to women your age, but to all generations?
Roza: My whole life I try to show people, especially women, that age is not something to be afraid of. We must cherish and enjoy every day of our wonderful and so short life! Love people and animals. Don't look back at other people's opinions. After all, this is our life! I am often wrong for others, but I am confidently happy for myself! That's my credo. I wish all women Health, Beauty and Love!
