A New Muse in Motion

In Velvet Couture, photographer Jeffrey Sielski introduces us to a new visual collaboration with model Makayla Mechelle (Alice Laura Models). Shot in the creative comfort of Vibe Space Studio, the shoot is rooted in simplicity, but elevated by presence — the kind that comes from confidence, chemistry, and clean styling.

Makayla stuns in two powerful outfits: a glittering black mini dress channeling Saturday night allure, and a textured pants-and-boots combo that exudes cool composure. Both ensembles are brought to life by her sculptural poses and radiant self-assurance — captured through Jeffrey’s lens with clarity and strength.

This shoot isn’t just about fashion — it’s about how the right vibe, model, and intention can turn minimal styling into maximum impact.

Interview with Jeffrey Sielski

VIONNE: What initially drew you to fashion photography, and how has your creative approach evolved over time?

Jeffrey: Wow, where do I begin honestly it started a long time ago I was introduced to people that my mom knew in the industry a they gave me the opportunity the rest is history, I have always approached each shoot individually.

VIONNE: What inspires you most when planning a new editorial — is it the location, the model, the clothing, or something else entirely?

Jeffrey: Always the model first, clothing second & I know it will be a studio shoot.

Vionne: You’ve worked with Makayla for the first time on this shoot. What did you find most striking about her energy and presence during the shoot?

Jeffrey: Yes this was the first time Makayla & I worked together, exactly that the energy that she brought to the shoot was amazing, we already planned our next shoot after the new year.

VIONNE: The outfits were chosen to showcase both elegance and power. What was your vision behind the black dress look and the boots-and-pants outfit?

Jeffrey: With Makaylas look, she had the black dress & heels I knew that was going to look amazing-thinking a Saturday night out on the town in NYC, we both wanted a different look, with the pants I thought boots would have been a better choice than just heels.

VIONNE: There’s a certain confidence in the shots — what was the atmosphere like on set, and how did it influence the final results?

Jeffrey: Honesty thats it Makayla have alot of confidence she definitely brings that to the photo shoot, the atmosphere at the studio is always light & fun very comfortable hence the name Vibe Space its exactly that its the Vibe.

VIONNE: How did you want the viewer to feel when they see this series? What emotions or vibes did you aim to capture?

Jeffrey: I always try to show Beauty & Strength in my editorials & Makayla made that happen in every image.

VIONNE: You often incorporate strong styling choices into your shoots. How do you balance the clothing and accessories with the model’s personality and the lighting?

Jeffrey: Yes that type of styling has been let's say a favorite of my to use, the balance comes from what will work best for the model, the right lighting will add mood, and direction when all of that comes together the resulting images will be amazing..
