From the cobblestones of Île Saint-Louis to the heart of high fashion

Against the golden glow of Parisian light and the rhythmic chaos of Fashion Week, model Alyssa Landmann stepped into a world that asked for more than beauty — it demanded presence. Captured by the lens of Blair Bartlett, this visual story reflects not only the elegance of the Paris runways but the journey of transformation behind them.

Trained by Soli Coaching and styled by a dream team of creatives, Alyssa’s Paris debut was more than just a career milestone — it was a personal revolution. Through cobblestone rehearsals, backstage adrenaline, and electric runways, she discovered a new version of herself: powerful, poetic, and unmistakably at home in the city of light.

Interview with Alyssa Landmann

VIONNE: What was your overall experience like at Paris Fashion Week, and which designers did you walk for?

Alyssa: Paris Fashion Week was surreal. I walked for A Kith, Khush Mizaj, and Drunk Gurl, and every moment felt like a dream. The show on Île Saint-Louis—romantic yet intense—perfectly captured Paris’ energy.

Two moments stand out: the electric silence before stepping onto the runway and the backstage chaos of quick changes and racing in heels. It was pure adrenaline and artistry combined.

VIONNE: How long have you been modelling, and what did your preparation for Paris Fashion Week entail?

Alyssa: I’ve been modeling for about three years, and preparing for Paris Fashion Week was a whole new level. The hardest part was adjusting to the intensity of the Paris market while staying true to my own style and walk.

Soli Coaching taught me to value consistency over perfection. Every session mattered. My philosophy became simple—if I walk even 1% better than yesterday, I’ve grown. That mindset kept me grounded and focused, knowing growth happens moment by moment.

VIONNE: You’ve walked in local fashion weeks before — what was the most unexpected or striking difference about working in Paris?

Alyssa: Walking in Paris was unlike anything I’d experienced. Training outdoors on Île Saint-Louis, in the rain on cobblestones, was both beautiful and challenging—walking in stilettos on wet stone is its own skill.

European runways feel more raw and emotional than the structured pace of Canadian shows. In Paris, every step tells a story. Adapting to that rhythm made me stronger and more connected to the artistry of the moment.

VIONNE: How did working with your coach from Soli Coaching specifically prepare you for the demands of Paris Fashion Week?

Alyssa: Soli Coaching completely transformed how I show up as a model. My coach refined not just my walk but my mindset—teaching me to own my space. She focuses on the small details others miss—the tilt of your chin, the rhythm of your stride—and turns them into strengths.

One key lesson was mastering the European turn, which is more fluid and expressive than what I was used to in Canada. By Paris, it felt second nature. We trained until confidence became muscle memory, so when it mattered most, I could just let go and perform.

VIONNE: What was your favourite moment or experience while in Paris — on- or off-the-runway?

Alyssa: My favorite moment was show day—walking a runway in the heart of Paris surrounded by creative minds from around the world. The energy was unforgettable.

Off the runway, seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time and shooting in front of it felt like a full-circle, cinematic moment.

Paris reminded me why I fell in love with fashion—it’s about connection, storytelling, and passion. It reignited my fire and made me see myself as part of a larger creative movement.

VIONNE: How has modelling in Paris changed your perspective on the industry, or what advantages do you feel you gained from working in that market?

Alyssa: Modeling in Paris gave me a deeper appreciation for fashion’s artistry. The European industrycelebrates individuality and emotion—it’s about storytelling through movement, not perfection.

That experience helped define my brand: polished yet passionate, elegant yet raw, and inspired me to grow internationally while carrying that European sensibility into every project.

VIONNE: How has your relationship with your coach evolved, and what qualities do you think mark a great modelling coach — which routines or habits from your coaching have you kept since Paris?

Alyssa: My relationship with my coach has grown into a true mentorship. She’s not just teaching me how to walk—she’s teaching me how to enter a room with intention. Through Soli Coaching, I’ve learned to introduce myself with confidence, carry myself professionally, and adapt to new markets with ease.

A great coach doesn’t just correct you—they elevate you. She helped me understand that modeling is about presence and discipline. Many new models focus only on posing or walking, but the real difference comes from consistency, networking, and self-awareness. Soli Coaching gave me those tools early on, which I now bring to every runway and opportunity.
